1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the AtmosLedger platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AtmosLedger provides a carbon accounting platform that enables businesses to measure, report, and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The Service includes tools for data collection, emissions calculation, reporting, and analysis.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Promptly update any changes to your information
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Submit false or misleading emissions data
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service
Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
Use the Service to misrepresent your environmental credentials

5. Emissions Calculations

AtmosLedger calculates emissions using UK Government DEFRA conversion factors and other established methodologies (EXIOBASE, IEA). While we strive for accuracy, emissions calculations are estimates based on the data you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of input data. AtmosLedger does not guarantee that calculations will satisfy specific regulatory requirements.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by AtmosLedger Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data you submit to the Service.

7. Payment Terms

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AtmosLedger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
